“Free Alongside Ship” is the second full-length album but in many ways the first proper Shitting Glitter album. Over two years in the making, the band initially started recording in the summer of 2004. "The Incomparable White Six" was recorded and released as a single to precede the album, however the band was not happy with many things about the recording and decided to make several changes in the way they recorded. "Ladyslipper" was a result of these changes, with a much clear, focused sound.
